Makes three cups of marinara/tomato sauce.
3-4 garlic cloves; lightly smashed
1/4 cup olive oil
800ml (28oz) canned Italian peeled tomatoes; chopped
salt
8 basil leaves; torn
In large skillet, press down and cook the garlic in all of the olive oil over medium heat until golden, about four minutes.
Add tomatoes and salt. Bring to simmer and cook, stirring often, until sauce is think, about 15 to 20 minutes. Stir in the basil.
