The place is nice, the beer is good, especially the selection. Although prized as one of the best restaurants in Philadelphia, the food is nowhere near what I would expect from a German restaurant. It remains incredibly hard to find good German food outside of Germany.

Focusing on Southern German/Austrian and "American-German" cuisine, the Rinderrouladen were the worst Rinderrouladen I ever ate. How can you mess that up this badly?

Still, had some good times there, most notably during the soccer World Cup of 2010. The large tables invite you to meet other people. And like I said above, the beer is very good.
