Not to be confused with Barbarian, this is a German series about the Battle of Varus. While I am very interested in this specific part of history the series is based on, the mediocre acting, modern day language, among other issues was off-putting.

I have yet to watch the second season, which is rated even lower, but I'll give it a try. It helps that each season has just six episodes.

The entire story surrounding this iconic battle would be perfect for a high-quality series, but this is not it.
