Didn't know much about this movie and didn't expect much, but was pleasantly surprised and thoroughly entertained.

The movie received some harsh reviews on IMDB¹, pretty much all of which don't understand what kind of movie this is. The title of one review² is "If you expect any intillengence [sic] from the plot or the dragon, stay away." How can you take that seriously? If you are someone like IMDB reviewer "casperlei0324" who thinks that "intillengence" is a word... yes, stay away. From movies in general. You rated Sky Captain and the World of Tomorrow a perfect 10/10, casperlei0324. Your opinion does not matter.

Instead, if you like medieval, fairy-tale fantasy movies, are able to suspend disbelief³, and like easy entertainment, go ahead and enjoy this little gem that isn't pretending to be more than it is. That alone is a rarity these days. I can't find much wrong with it and would normally rate it in the three to 3.5-star territory on my completely made-up and arbitrary movie rating scale, but I'm countering the general consensus, and awarding a full four stars, just out of spite! Take that, casperlei0324 and your "intillengence"!
