What a wasted opportunity. Movies like this make me angry. Joaquin Phoenix was completely miscast as Napoleon. Ridley Scott was miscast as director. Apart from some beautifully shot scenes, costumes, and Vanessa Kirby's cleavage, everything is horrible. And that's after already ignoring all the historical inaccuracies1.
It took me several attempts to finish this movie. Ridley Scott owes France an apology.
