I made two huge mistakes going into this movie:

1. I watched the original 1989 cult classic just before.
2. While I didn't have high expectations, I didn't imagine you could mess this movie up so badly.

Let me check out the thesaurus and find synonyms of "terrible" to adequately describe this movie. Here we go: awful, dire, direful, dreaded, dreadful, fearful, fearsome, frightening¹, horrendous, horrific, atrocious, abominable, painful, tremendous², unspeakable, severe, frightful.

Reminds me a bit of that atrocious 2023 version of White Men Can't Jump. Another movie I could not finish and will never touch again.

Did the makers of this movie even see the original one? Ugh. Another classic that was ruined. My best advice is to just forget about this movie. Learn from my mistakes.
