Ultimately didn’t do it for me. Hellbound benefits from riding the Squid Game hype-wave but has little to offer beyond the interesting premise.
Why do these Korean shows always have this one batshit-crazy character in it that really diminishes the quality of the entire series? In Squid Game it's that one insane woman; you know who I mean, and here it's the silly Arrowhead clown guy. Even the fantastic show Happiness has one of those over-dramatic, over-acting maniacs. So annoying.
Anyway, Hellbound started out just fine, but got gradually worse. By the end of the third episode, I had lost most of my interest. Little did I know that it would only get worse. A lot worse. It was a pain to finish the 6-episode season, despite the very short runtime of only 2h30min (that's five fewer minutes than Dune).
I will not be watching any future seasons of Hellbound.
