I spent some of my most formative and intense years in the Philly area and have been a die-hard fan of all Philly sports teams every since. Football is obviously the king and Jason Kelce is an all-time legend in this city. I am positive that I watched every single one of the 193 games he played.
I held off watching this documentary for a long time, probably because I didn't want to relive the devastating loss in the Super Bowl against the Chiefs. On the the day of his inevitable retirement, after an already very emotional retirement press conference, I finally watched it. Jason deserves his retirement and will be forever loved in this city.
A must-watch movie, not only for sports fans, a great look behind the scenes of the life of a great human being, and an ode to the city of Philadelphia, the most passionate sports city in North America. I'm glad that I landed in South East Pennsylvania some 20+ years ago. It's not always easy being a Philly sports fan, but I wouldn't wanna trade it for anything else. At least we'll always have Super Bowl LII1.
